Writing for magazines, news outlets and digital platforms offers a chance for businesses to showcase their work and their expertise without the pressure of advertising or promotions.
With some publications, it’s possible to get material published just the way you want; with others, you have to pitch a story in such a way that a reporter and editor find value in it for their audience and are willing to do the work themselves. You may only need me to sell someone on a great idea for a story, or we may need to go from brainstorming, research, and interviews, through writing, client edits, and article placement.
The goal is always to find the openings in the media where you fit and then to tell a story that is clear, concise and compelling.
I have successfully pitched stories to numerous venues, including The Los Angeles Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Denver Post and Colorado Public Radio, and written numerous articles for other news outlets, including the ones below. (Read excerpts by clicking on the icons.)
