Content strategy

AORN-content-strat-cvrThis project laid the groundwork for the overhaul, redesign and migration of a 1,000-page website that would meet the needs of a 41,000-member organization and its 100-person staff.

I researched, assessed and identified those content needs through interviews, site review and analytics, then prepared and submitted an 84-page recommendations document complete with marketing tactics, page layouts, user interface strategies, and voice.

It was critical to overhaul information architecture to align with business goals. I also took on the task of training more than two dozen content owners in Web-writing and worked with them to strategize the hierarchy of information within the site and on each of its pages.

I tracked all content in a requirements doc, rewrote, revised, edited, and created content, working in two different content management systems. Finally, I created a proprietary style guide to govern the site going forward.
